Masterplan for a governmental & cultural development, in Bogota, Columbia – OMA
This masterplan design was taken from a collage that I initially created and which began a series of formal transformations by our team to create an iconic overall plan composed of shaped buildings. Between the airport and historic downtown, the site is currently occupied by small housing and a handful of dated governmental buildings. The masterplan connects a university site to its south, park lands to the north and a growing retail and corporate development to its west. The curved circular edges defi ne a distinct urban form while the grid that cuts between structures and green bands that form edges, create avenues, bridges, and site lines to neighboring sites.
