SANTA MONICA MIX-USE
Retail, Commercial, and Hotel design competition in Los Angeles – OMA
This invited competition includes a 420,000SF building intended to create an iconic presence in Santa Monica. Our scheme focused on breaking indoor/outdoor thresholds to create a series of stepped terraces at every level. Each tier represents an individual program and extends out towards its adjacent outdoor terrace. As a design team member, I was involved with each aspect of the design process from initial massings to facade details. Although it is difficult to extract specific items in the project that are an individuals sole work, I was responsible for leading the pavilion designs and personally executed all sections and elevations for the final book and presentation.
